In the vast passage of time, there has been certain mysteries and hysteria around the perception of time. From these moments emerge four artifacts, the Julian calendar, the 1900s daylights’ savings clock, the Maya long count calendar, and the 2000s Y2k digital clock. Each one carries a conspiracy around how time was manipulated and could signify catastrophic change if they were to come true. In this particular museum experience, enter this warp of time to uncover the world that exact possibility with each unique artifact.

The giant clock hanging in the middle of the experience will project visually of these different consequences, with a narration to pair. But the choice of which artifact to explore is up to the audience, as right below the center piece is a turntable of the artifacts. The one that is turned under the red selection light will uncover the conspiracy behind it on the impending clock hanging above.

There were various challenges in simplifying the experience, which involved a lot of user testing and body storming. Finding a solid direction was also an initial challenge, as the concept of time was too vast of a topic so extensive research and possibilities were explored before the idea of conspiracies was discovered.

Through this exhibition, the audience would leave with a greater understanding of these rather strange occurrences of time dilation that has been entirely human made and just how common they have been throughout history. Who know? The next time conspiracy might be just around the corner.
